Audio Systems/99 Mercury Sable TDE2 Error

Question
I have a factory radio/tape player that came with my 1999 Mercury Sable.  It also has a CD Changer in the trunk.  The first time I tried the tape player (today) I used one of those headphone jack to tape adapters to use an MP3 Player.  It worked great, then when I turned the car off, then back on it does not work.  It will not even eject the tape thing.  When I switch to tape it does nothing for a few seconds then finally displays "TDE2".  My guess is that means Tape Deck Error 2.  I cannot find anything online about the error code.  Will I be able to get the adapter out of the tape deck, and if I do should I try a different one or is the tape deck not going to work?  THank you in advnce for any assistance.

Answer
the tape deck in that vehicle was made for tapes only
that electronic device can not switch sides and that is the reason it got stuck and give you the error
unplug the battery and most of the times it comes out, never try to insert that again

if you want to plya your mp3 use this interface
