Question
how can i drill a hole in the firewall of an 03 impala for a amplifier power cable? or how can i run the power cable from the battery to the trunk?

Answer
Going through the firewall can be dangerous for letting fumes come through.  If the wire is a big one it may have to go underneath and then through a hole in the trunk area.  If the wire will fit sometimes you can push it through where the steering column goes; a big rubber grommet that keeps the column air tight can sometimes be jimmied to get a wire through then run the wire along the floor boards by the doors and back under the rear seat.

If it were me I would run it under the car chassis; more work but a better bet and shorter distance.

Good Luck,
C
