Audio Systems/Bose 3. 2.1 System for HD TV

Question
I have a Bose 3.2.1 system for my Samsung HD TV and continue to have problems with the sound cutting out when I change from one channel to another. When I change to a new channel, the sound cuts out. This does not happen every time--perhaps every fifth or sixth channel change. In order to get the sound back, I have to turn the Bose system off, then wait a minute or so for "Bose 3.2.1" to show on the Bose box screen, then I can turn the system back on. The sound is back.  I've tried re-booting by unplugging the entire system--at least five times. That doesn't fix the problem. Any suggestions on how to fix this glitch in what is otherwise a nice system. Thanks.
Margaret

Answer
I must have the following in order to determine what is going on:

ONE: The make and model of your tv.
TWO: The model of your 3.2.1 (there is a GX and GSX, for example)
THREE: Does it make a difference if the audio volume level is high or low?  Try it with the volume control all the way down to zero and let me know the result.
FOUR:  Do you hear a thud or pop or blurp when the channel is changed?
FIVE:  Are you using any special interconnecting cables, for example? If you have Monster brand cables they can cause this problem.  You should use the cables that came with the tv or the Bose for audio connection from the tv to the Bose.
SIX:  Is there an audio receiver of switching device in the audio system other than the internal switching of the tv or Bose receiver?
SEVEN: Does the tv have more than one audio output?  And, does the on screen menu for the tv give you a choice of audio output for variable and fixed audio?  If so, which one are you using.

I am suspecting that a switching transient is getting into the input of the Bose which over drives the protection circuit causing it to fail.  That is why I must know all the connections; it will help us determine if the switching pulse is causing it where it is coming from and how it is getting into the Bose amplifier.

Thanks for your help.
