what are the best speakers to get for a 1996 chrysler cirrus? i need new speakers all around but am on a budget...what do you suggest?

I don't like making equipment recommendations because there are so many subjective factors involved.

However, you must, in this case, choose ones that will fit into the spaces available (unless you intend to have them custom installed with custom housings).  And for this I highly recommend you to visit the cructhfield page.  Go here:

and plug in all the car information that is requested and it will lead you to the speakers that will fit in all the spaces for your system.  They are very accurate. And, if there are questions you can call their customer 800 line and they will discuss it with you.

If you have the stock head unit now in the car there is little value in adding really expensive speakers.  If you want upgraded sound you should think about adding a new head unit and amplifier to go with more powerful speakers. And, adding a subwoofer has the greatest addition of wound enhancement that you can believe.  A good woofer makes for sensational sound improvements.  And they are not terribly expensive.
