Question
i have a 01 mustang with the boses system and i do not have any bass? what can i do?

Answer
There are a number of potential causes for loss of bass.  However, in most cases, let's say 80% of the time, it is because the voice coils in the speaker(s) are blown out.  In this case it would require the speakers to be replaced or repaired.

Another possible cause in the Bose system, depending on the exact Bose implementation, is the amplifier mounted on the speaker basket going bad or losing power.

So, as I think about this, I urge you to take it into a car install/repair sound shop and have them look at it. A good technician can determine whether it is the amps or the speakers in a matter of minutes.  The cost of repair might be more than you expect, so be prepared with a budget of a couple hundred dollars or so, plus or minus.

BTW, are you sure it is a Bose system?  If so, is it an aftermarket system or a factory installed?  I think the Mustang used MACH systems in that year......   In any event, you may, after finding out if you need the amps or speakers replaced, decide on a new aftermarket system for the Mustang.

Let me know if there is more to the story.

PS: The speakers are easily tested. If you are handy with tools and speaker wiring I can tell you how to test them using a drycell battery connected to the terminal of the speaker OR with the use of an ohmmeter (from Walmart or Home Depot for under $10)....
