Question
yes I would like to take my 8mm video cassette tape and upload them to
my computer with out ruinning the orginal copy and this camera is 15
years old. Plus it doesn't have a dv port

Answer
Not sure what your long term aim is, but here is a discussion forum who have contemplated several ways of doing it.

If you go to google.com and google the words "8mm movies to pc" you will get several sites that have ways of doing it to dvd and tape/vhs, etc.

A best way would be to acquire an analog video to digital video converter and feed it into your pc as an avi or quicktime or mpg or some thing that your pc is equipped to record. If you are going to put them on dvd it is easy with a dvd recorder that has an analog video input.

This ought to get you started.
