Audio Systems/Delco Radio repair

Question
I have a 92 Buick Park Ave. I purchase a Delco 16085434 radio from a salvage yard out of a 93 Park Ave. The radio doesn't turn on. When connecting power(12volts and 12V ign. I get the clock. Then I tried trouble shooting and found several buttons were not working. I replaced the ribbon cable from the PWR, SET, and RCL buttons. I also repaired some breaks in the ribbon cable that go to the preset buttons around the CD player opening. This is what I have now, Everything seems to be working on the face plate and the display, displays everything, Except for one thing, the PWR button will not energize the piggy back amp/tuner box (Delco 16140942), So there is no sound. I look at the circuit board of amp, and found this small cubic relay. I probed the relay and found the coil and other contacts. I briefly jumped the supply contact with the other position from the neutral position and had sound. I then disconnected all power and connections and supplied I'VE to the coil of the relay, I could hear the relay trip. I measured across the pins with ohm meter. The relay was making contact. I then thought the mute button had something to do with this, I checked that with a ohm's meter, it makes contact when pushed, no power applied. With power applied, I get infinity across the mute button without pushing the button. That's where I stand, so I'm thinking whatever trips that relay is the problem. Think you can help solve this mystery? Thanks in advance, Dave
