Have you tried using another remote from a similar system even from another manufacturer?  Sometimes they are all using the same IC chip for the remote functions and they will work.

Have you tried the auction sites, such as eBay?

Have you tried a universal remote with code search?  They are available at places such as Walmart for under $10.  If you have Dollar Tree stores in your area try their $1.00 remote; it works on just about any home entertainment device I have tried it on.

EA merchandise is made by a small company in the Orient and they do not support their products well. I don't think the replacement remote is available anywhere at retail or as a part.

These products are what we call shopping mall parking lot merchandise. They are often sold by private individuals from the back of their pickup truck or van in mall parking lots.  They have huge suggested retail price; are offered at a fraction of the so-called retail and are actually worth even much less.  So long as you know what you got and didn't pay much for it you are doing fine.  You know one thing you could do is buy a complete system on eBay and use it for parts  including the remote control.
