Question
I have a D3 pioneer head unit with navigation, bluetooth, i-pod and i had it professionally installed but i need to take it out and wanted to know how do i take it out?

Answer
Here is a place that has, for a small fee, detailed instructions on installations (which include removal procedures)

http://www.mobileinformationlabs.com/InstallGuides.htm?gclid=CLmDgqrkw5UCFQQCago...

and you can find other commercial services with similar ideas.

I think you must remove the dash covering then a couple of screws to loose the mounting. Slide it out carefully and disconnect the cables carefully before the unit comes out all the way.

If the unit now in was "custom" fit you may have to use a removal tool to release the slide catches.

Take a look at www.installer.com and see if you can find the hardware used on GM cars for installation of NAV units.

I did not have time to do an exhaustive google hunt, but you can google around.  Usually, if you google enough you can find some forum or tech notes that will give you some ideas on removal; with luck even someone who has an almost identical job as you are doing.

Hope this helps.

PS: Here is a forum comment I just found that looks formiddable but may be worth reading through for ideas:
