Question
i was wondering if not having my power antenna does that keep my stereo from working

Answer
Power antenna merely means the motor in the base of the antenna lifts it up and down when the radio function goes on and off.

So, if the power antenna is not working you would not hear any signal when tuned to AM or FM radio function.

If you can send the antenna UP and keep in up, it should work just fine -  EXCEPT: In rare cases where, some automobiles, have an electronic booster built into the antenna system and without power the signal is dead always.

Bose makes systems for many makes; all are different.  I would need to know the make/model of your car and the Bose system in it to give you a answer specific for your situation.

Hope this helps.
