Question
okay i just got this from a freind, i couldn't get the cd trays to come out, they all stuck. please help me.

Answer
There are a host of possible reasons for its failure.

You can try a reset.  Unplug the power cord for 30 minutes; then try it again.

You can listen carefully to see if you hear the release motor or mechanisms operating.

For example, the power supply could be defective.  The controller IC could be failing in sending the eject signal to the release motor or solenoid.  The unit could have been dropped and the trays are jammed inside and the friction will not let them come out.  The release mechanism could be jammed from being dropped.  And so on.

I fear you may  have to take it into an audio shop where they can examine it physically and visually to determine what is keeping them from coming out and what the prognostication for their repair would be.

I don't think it will cost much to have it examined and a diagnosis.  But, it might be costly to get it working again if parts are damaged.

I know this is not a very specific answer but hopefully it will give you some guidance on the possibilities and what to look for and expect.
