Audio Systems/Cd deck install.

Question
Today I'm going to be installing a Kenwood aftermarket deck on my buddys car. He has a 2002 Grand Prix GT. I can install systems and subwoofers and all that, but how do i take off the front piece of the dash so i can install the new deck equipment. We have everything to install it, but that was the one thing i wasn't sure about.

Thanks, hope to hear from you soon!

Answer
Don't know exactly.  Try this (some expense for the details):

But, if you scout around you can find some screws that loosen up the bottom of the dash so as to lift it up and away so that you can get into the mounting area.

This is an older model, but is similar to the 2002:

Hope this helps. Good Luck with your installation.

If you need brackets to make the mounting fit the new radio you can buy them at installer.com
