Audio Systems/Car radio

Question
I have a 2006 Dodge Caravan, and the radio equipped with it is a RBK, and my problem is that when I try to put a cd in it says "error" on the screen. So can you please help me?

Answer
This symptom is can be caused by optical pickup laser diode going bad, by digital detector not working properly to read the digital signal on the disk, by the motor or spinning of the disc not going at right speed, etc.

Sorry to say, most of the cases, the repair is about as expensive as purchasing a new radio/stereo unit.  It will require testing and troubleshooting to be certain what the exact problem is going to be.

Wish there was better news for you.

PS:  It can sometimes be caused by dirty disc or dust on the optical lens.  You can try cleaning but I don't give it much possibility of solving the problem.
