i have a 89 nissan 240sx.. i had my alpine cda 105 in it for a while now with 2 6x9's played fine with now problems... i recently put 2 amps a 4 channel and a 2 channel and a 10in sub. no problems for 2 days on the 3rd day on my head unit it said dc error.. what does this mean and how can i take it off.. the stereo still plays and sounds good, but it just says dc error.. i ran the power cable from the batt to the 4chnl amp and then another one from the 4 chnl amp to the 2 chanl amp and grounded them seperately also ran the remote cable the same from the head unit to one amp and from that amp to the next one..  and suggestions???

This is just my best guess.  To know for sure I would have to know all the model numbers and how you have it hooked up to the speakers, etc.  and then testing would probably be required.

So, my guess is the amps have loaded down the battery/alternator system so heavy the head unit has detected a low dc voltage which prompted the dc error reading.  

What to do? I think you must reset the head unit. Afterwards you may need to put in a heavy duty battery and alternator since you are sucking up lots of power from the car's electrical system with all those amps connected.

Reset will require the 12v battery line to be removed from the head unit for at least 20 minutes before powering it back up.
