Question
I have a vintage auto that needed a radio with the two mast mounting system. I found a custom auto sound am/fm casette  player on e-bay. The unit is cd compatable and has a direct cd controller in the receiver. It Has an 8 pin connector and I found a 16 ft cable that was listed as  a kenwood clarion c-bus aiwa sirius cd changer din cable but I can't find a cd changer that has an 8 pin connector. Is Clarion part of kenwood? I'm a car guy but audio is not my forte. I would appreciate any help you could give . Thanks, Hank

Answer
No, Clarion and Kenwood are competitors.  Din cables are generally used in Europe and sometimes in Japan, but almost never in the USA - except for a few foreign cars.

Without actual model numbers so I can search the database listings I cannot help much more....

But, best to you in your search.
