Question
i have two Rockford fosgate 15" subs T115D4 600rms 1200peak. also im getting two alpine vpower v1000 amps to put out 600rms at 4ohms. ill be running one amp to one sub, i want to know the best way to wire this system to my 05 acura tl. i would greatly appreciate it if you could tell me all the wiring i should do and if possible draw up a wiring diagram. you can include power caps or any recommendations you have. i am looking for the best way to put in my dream system. im currently in iraq so there is no rush on this as i have some time left before the install. thankyou.

Answer
The Rockford Fosgate 15" subs, T115D4, are 4 ohm but dual voice coil.  So, driving them with a mono-block amp is easy.  You will want to put the voice coils in parallel providing each amp with a 2 ohm load - which is acceptable according to the spec sheet on the Alpine amps you are targeting.

If you go to this page it will have a wiring diagram for connecting up each amp to its sub.

You are probably mounting the amps and speaker boxes in the trunk area of the Acura.  Therefore you will need an 8 or 10 gauge wire from battery to the amp.  Also, the remote wire coming from the head unit for amp turn on will be needed.  Grounding will take place nearby where the amps are mounted.  With two amps you need two wires run from battery to the hot terminal on each amp; they should not run from the same wire.  You may need a heavy duty battery and alternator if you plan to run the subs with lots of power eating bass-heavy music!

That should get you up and running very well.
