Question
Hello!  First off, I'm a high school student with no job, that's short on money.  In my ignorance, I bought the Infinity Reference 6022i's at Best Buy because they were on sale, and my front door speakers were blown.  This is in my 2001 Chrysler 300m, everything is stock with the exception of the new door speakers.  The "experts" there should have warned or dissuaded me, but now I have them installed in my doors.  They are underpowered and sound terrible!  The idiots also tried to use the wires from the stock tweeters to get treble, ignoring a crossover, I'm not really sure what the problem was there.  I think it's a bad idea to buy a cheap amp and then pay them another $75 to install that, just to power my 2 new speakers.  So my question is, are there any aftermarket speakers, running 2 ohms, that can be run easily by the stock amp?  I've been looking everywhere, but I can't find how much power the amp has.

Answer
What?   You say the 6022i Infinitys don't sound good?  These are great little speakers and should sound really good. If not then I would first suspect the installation or the amplifiers they are connected to.  These speakers handle a goodly amount of power and are rated at 4 ohms impedance.  Also, they are almost 94db sensitive.  All this points to a speaker far superior to the originals.

If the installing techs connected the tweeter wires to the Infinitys then that could harm the system.

Regarding the vehicle, you would have to look up the original books and window sheet to know which factory oem system it has in it.  Chrysler uses several different models and it depends on the trim level and audio system options that were on that car;  they are not all the same.

If you go to "outfit my car" and walk through the options you will see other possibilities:

So, you will need to feed me more information to judge what the problem is.  Here are a couple of pages that may help you get is straightened out:

Also, may I refer you to Ernesto on this same allexperts channel who is a better expert for your car and system to get a second opinion.

Good Luck.
