Question
I have a 2003 nissan maxima that says telephone across the display, the radio has power and if you change the volume you will see that on the display but it goes right back to saying telephone, you cant hear any noise out of the radio and it wont do anything else but raise the volume, i cant find a telephone button on the radio and i called a dealership and nissan direct and they had no answer for me, can you help me out on a possible way to get this radio out of telephone mode.

Answer
The radio is telephone ready,
the way it works is when the nissan telephne is working it sends a negative signal to the radio and lowers the volume , i also sends audio to the front speaker,
in your case it sounds like you don't have the telephone kit,
radio is receiving the negative signal, so it will be a internal problem on the radio and needs to be repair
good luck
