Question
i have 2 clarion 10inch sfw1051 shallow subs. my truck is a 2004 f150 4dr and i bought the box to fit both underneath the back seat. but i am not sure how to go about finding a good amp or the right amp for that setup. for now i am just gonna run the stock head unit also. thank you for you time.
You can use just about any amplifier that you like. The subs can handle pretty good power, so any stereo, 2-channel amp that will drive a 4 ohm load to a couple hundred watts will be just fine.
Choose one that can be used for driving subs - which will have a built in crossover setting.
You can find them for $100 and up at places such as BestBuy, Walmart and almost any retailer that deals with car audio stuff. Stay away from garage sales and flea market and off-brand amps.
You can find adapters for the interface from the head unit to the sub amp at installer.com and crutchfield.com among others.
