Question
I have a stock radio in my 2001 jeep grand Cherokee and I would like to hook up my sound system. Can i hook it up with the stock radio?
Need to know more to give you a precise answer. What kind of sound system are you using? Do you have make and model of the amplifier? Is the unit in your Jeep a standard or Infinity brand?
So far as the radio output it likely does not have an audio level output so you may have to tap off the speaker output to provide a feed to the external amplifier.
Look at

and go down to the Jeep section where you will find some hi-low adapters that may be suitable for your idea.
