Question
i have a 2006 vw jetta. the satellite radio does not work. the rest of the stereo works fine. dealer wants $600 says its the receiver in the trunk. what is the make of this stereo?  what exactly is this receiver? also i just read something about some receivers needing updates. where can i get a receiver cheaper?

Answer
If it was my car i will replace it with a auxiliary input interface and buy a portable unit the sound quality will be the same

email oemautosound.com with the model number of the SAT receiver
and if you want XM or SIRIUS  it will cost you a 1/3 of dealer prices
located on the left side of the trunk
