Question QUESTION: i have a 1997 chevy camaro that had a delco theftlock radio with a cassette player and a 6 speaker system. the radio does not say bose or monsoon on it. THe factory radio has two plugs in the back of it. One is the standard plug (20 pin) and the other is a flat 9 pin plug. this radio also had the speed compensated volume feature.
Here is the problem, i am installing a aftermarket stereo with a cd player in this car and i cannot figure out how to get all the speakers working. I have the front and the back working but not the middle ones. I was hoping to find a wiring diagram for this factory radio and maybe some help on what i need to do to gat all the speakers working.
ANSWER: I am sure your wiring is ok but you need to turn on the amplifier the radio can only power 4 speakers most likely there is no bass from the speakers
QUESTION: ok, i attempted to find the amp but am having trouble locating it. I was told that it would be under the hatch on the passenger side but am not able to find it there.
Answer left side of the cargo area behind the carpet or under the center console , if bose the amplifiers are inside the door
you don't need to find them just power it it is the blue wire on the main harness
the 9 pin plug is for the cd changer don't use that plug
