Question
WHEN TRYING TO INSTALL AFTER-MARKER DECKS, PERFERRABLY DOUBLE DIN TOUCH SCREEN, IS IT NECESSARY TO INSTALL A BOSE SYSTEMS ADAPTER OR CONVERTER AND RE-WIRE ALL THE SPEAKERS?
Without looking into the details I cannot be too optimistic. The Bose systems are basically not compatible with other aftermarket suppliers.
Your Bose speaker systems have, I think, the last stage of the amplifier mounted on the speaker baskets. It requires removing all speakers and installing new amplifiers and speaker units.
But, get a second opinion from Ernesto at allexperts.com as he has installation experience with these cars.
Sorry to say, but most factory systems by Bose are really hard to work with and most installers end up just gutting the system out and starting over again.
