Question
QUESTION: I have this Aiwa cd player in my 99 blazer. I've had this radio for five years and all of a sudden the aux input is only working on the right side of the speakers. The radio and cd player evenly but the Aux won't. Any answers.

Thanks

ANSWER: Try reversing the input cables.  If the good channel switches over it is a bad cable.  If the bad channel remains the same it is not the cabling or the source device.  Also, check the input jack and plug to make sure one channel is not making connection due to difference in design of plug.

It is just not likely the inputs have failed since both channels are working re all other functions.  I am leaning to something at the input or the source that is the problem area.

Let me know if there is more to the story.

QUESTION: I have tried changing the audio l-r cables and the sound just changes sides. I have changed the aux cable a couple of time to see if its the cable. I have used an ipod, and a couple other mp3 player and still the same issue. It started with a little static thru the speakers if you move the cable close to the input plug. Then all of a sudden no sound out of one side. I changed the cord and still the same issue. all the speakers work when the radio and cd is playing just when i try to use the aux function.

Answer
Based on these comments you may have an intermittent connection or board cold solder joint just inside the unit where the input plugs are located.  If you are brave you could open up the unit and probe around. Otherwise, better take it to a tech person.
