Question
I instaalled a cdx-sw200 in my party barge.  It cuts out on high vol. due to rhw poqwe outpur circuit to protect thermal sensor, but I used the wiring provided with the package.  What can I do to to more 'sound' from the system on the lower vol?  Is there specifics on a better speaker, better/heavier wiring or anything I can do to bump the sound/loudness us on the lower vol settings??  I am not much on the tech details of speakers - impedance, load on amp, wiring, voltage to amps?!  Thanks for the tips

Answer
This unit is only about 50 watts at 4 ohms. So, if you load it with 4 ohm speakers you will get best power output.  If you go under 4 ohm loading you will damage the unit.

Best way to get more audio output is:

ONE:  Speakers with higher sensitivity.  You did not give me the speakers so I don't know what you have in now.  But, if you increase the sensitivity of the speakers from, for example, 85db to ones that are 94db it will sound twice as loud with same amplifier setting.

TWO:  Add an external amplifier with more power.  Cost will be less than replacing the speakers probably.

Hope this helps.
