I turned the tv on and walked out of the room for a minute and the tv just turned off now the power indicator light wont come on, you can hear it click on and off but no picture or sound or power light

sounds like your set has a condition of over current shutdown. this could be caused by a number of problems from audio amp problems, shorted horizontal output circuit to bad flyback transformer or shorted picture tube/s. theres nothing else i can suggest without actually seeing unit and trouble shooting the different areas it could be.
