Question
how can I hook up my dbx 12 Series EQ to both my Yamaha Reciever HTR-5830 and my Yamaha Power AMP P2500S.

Answer
It goes between the output of the receiver and the input of the power amp.

You did not give me the model number of the EQ; they don't all have the same interface.  If your unit has only professional I/O connections (xlr or phone connections) you will need a converter to change the impedance and voltage level to match with the receiver.

The amp model you have, Yamaha Power AMP P2500S, has xlr and phono inputs so all you need is matching cables which you can purchase from a good music or electronics store.

Let me know if you need more.
