Question
i have a 96 infinity i30 and i hooked up my cd player witch is a jvc kd-s15 and i dont think i did it right cuz it only works when i turn on my headlights wat did i do wrong please help me asap

The above is the wiring chart for the Nissan Maxima - which I believe is the same wiring as the Infinity - or very close.

In any event it may help you with tracing out the wiring.  You didn't say if you used the correct wiring harness or a wiring harness at all. I recommend you do use a wiring harness as they make it simple to install the new radio.

As to your installation it would seen that the remote wire for turning on the player is connected to the headlight switch rather than the acc from the ignition wiring.  See if you can remedy that and get it going properly.  It may be as simple as moving the remote wire over to an acc circuit.
