Question
I'm putting a virtual reality sound labs serious sound radio model vrcd400-sdu in my 2000 ford F-150. I have all the lighting and it shows its playing a cd but i can't get any sound what so ever? I tested the wiring in the truck and it all checks out so why am i not getting any sound?

Answer
Page 7 of the manual (download on the Internet if you don' have yours) shows the color code of the wires coming out of the head unit.  Then, match the connections up to the wires of the Ford truck.  If you don't have  a wiring harness you will need to either get one from Walmart (or any other place that carries them such as crutchfield.com or installer.com, etc.) or trace them out your self to make sure the right front amplifier is connected to the right front speaker, etc.

Make certain their is not an external amplifier previously installed in the truck that you must either defeat OR use it by taking the rca outs from the radio unit to the input of the amplifier.

Above is a source of various kits for the F-150.

Connect a known good speaker to the output of one of the amplifier outputs to make sure it is putting out power.  If it is, then it is not making it to the speaker!  So, you will need to do more checking; probably miswiring - it is the most common mistake made on self-installations.

Hope this helps.
