Question
Good afternoon i have a 2005 toyota corolla with a factory fitted cd/radio player. I inserted my disc this morning it accepted it ok but makes a funny noise like its trying to load the disc but nothing happens. I try to eject the disc then error 3 comes up on the screen. my stereo has the trip navi system on it. can you help many thanks Jim.

This error code is a cd player code and is almost always related to the optical pickup system inside the player being out of adjustment or the laser diode going bad.

It requires repair/adjustment or replacement.  The fact it is struggling to load the disc is a sign the optical pickup cannot read the disc.

The NAVI system is likely not affected unless one of the discs contains map information for the navigation system.  

One other possibility is dirt or condensation on the surface of the disc.  Try cleaning it and making sure the humidity or cold has not created condensation on the surface of the disc.
