Question
I drive a 1994 Chevy Suburban k1500. i have used the same deck in my last four vehicles but when i got to this one it has a split unit. the center piece is a tape player and equalizer but thats it than right next to the steering column there is everything else the volume control to the power to the tuner. two separate freaking units. i want this set up gone but im not exactly sure what i can do. i cant pull out the tape player without the other part but if i pull both out ill be stuck with a hole in my dash. what do you suggest?

Answer
this is a 3 piece system
there is a pocket box for the radio near the a controls and there is a kit for the raio
to be installed  where the tape player is now

you also need to remove the CDM near the acelerator pedal , you will find the speaker wires and power there

good luck
