Question
My factory radio went out with the CDs getting stuck and the backlight not working.  Just purchased new one and changed out the radio.  Everything works great except the backlight still does not work on the new radio.  I read somewhere that I need programming??? What could cause this problem.

Answer
there is a module inside the dash that control the lights on the radio with the dash
this needs to be repair/replace
or you need to find with a volt meter the wire with power this unit is sending to the radio and cut it
the lighst will turn on but at night they will stay bright

good luck
