Audio Systems/CAR PROBLEM

Question
I HAVE A MITSUBISHI ECLIPSE SPYDER 2002 AND THE STEREO SEEMS TO BE ON BUT, YOU CAN'T HEAR ANYTHING I ALREADY CHECKED THE SPEAKERS AND THEY WORK I ALSO UNPLUGGED THE BATTERY AND ENTERED THE STEREO CODE TO RESET IT. IT SEEMS TO BE PLAYING THE RADIO OR A CD. I NEED TO KNOW IF THERE IS LIKE AN AUDIO FUSE OR SOMETHING TO FIX IT.

Answer
I think there is an external amplifier that feeds the speakers.  This may by out.  Could be a bad fuse or a failure of some kind in the amp. If the unit is an Infinity then for sure there is a buried amp somewhere.

The amp is probably located under the passenger seat or tucked up under the dashboard somewhere.

Hope this helps you get started. Let me know more if necessary.
