Question
Make:Acura, Model:TL 2.5, Year: 1998

Dear sir,
When I switch ON the car audio system, I see error as "CODE0.0" in display and the audio system does not function. This has been working fine for close to an year after I bought in June 2007. Also, when the error code displays on the screen, I see that "Anti-theft" red light blinks until I switch OFF the audio system. I desperately need your help to fix it. FYI, I used an iPod cassette adapter for some time before it stopped functioning one fine day :(. Appreciate your help!

Answer
When you bot the car you should not have taken deliver on it without the anti-theft code.  You MUST have that code.  It can be acquired from Aura dealerships but you will have to pay some money and prove your ownership of the car.   If it is a stolen unit, for example and the previous owner has it reported it will be on the world register and the next thing you know there will be a police officer knocking on your door.......

There are some places online that claim they can get the code for you and give instructions on entering and booting up the radio.  Try:

I have never used them so I have no personal experience with them, but they have strong claims they can get the code for you.  You might want to try the Acura dealer first.
