Audio Systems/computer hookup

Question
Hey, man. Thanks if you can answer my question. I recently got an audio program for my laptop, called Ableton Live. It's a great program but I would like to know how I can hook up my laptop to a stereo or even just suim plain old speakers.

Answer
You have some options here...

From your headphone jack on the laptop, you can run a 1/8" stereo mini plug to 2 RCA cable (like an iPod adapter cable) to an auxiliary input on stereo...

You could buy some powered speakers and plug them directly into your laptop...

There are many external souldcards that you can use (brands like Creative, M-Audio, Edirol, etc...) that would use a usb cable to the interface, and then stereo RCA interconnects to the stereo.

Those would be your easiest options (from least expensive on up). I hope this helps you out!
