Question
I'm trying to hook up a new amp and take out the old 2. All the speaker wires are black and green there are 4 of those on each side. How do I hook up my new amp and what wires go to what?

Answer
You can google for the wiring color code diagrams.  Best I have found is modifiedlife web page such as:

http://www.modifiedlife.com/car-stereo-radio-wiring-diagram-2001-ford-mustang/

If your car has different colors it has either been customized or a wiring harness placed with all black and green colors.  In either case you must not make any mistakes in the wiring of the speakers and power; great disasters can happen if they are not correctly connected.

You may need to purchase a VOM (under $10 at Walmart or Home Depot) and trace out each wire so you know beyond any doubt where it goes.  I use a piece of masking tape to write on an identifier for each wire.

Power wires and grounds can be transferred from the old amp to the new one.

Do you need more?

Good Luck.
