Question
Can you replace a stock '92 Acura AM/FM Cassette radio with a Bose Premium '94 Acura AM/FM Cassette radio. The "wire connector" is the same, but the "SP coupler" is different (5 prongs on Bose and 2-prong on existing.  If so, how can I make the connection.

Answer
It is not a good idea in my opinion.  The Bose system is not interchangeable due to the kind of amplifier and speakers they use - which are not compatible with other makers.  I think you could do this if you replaced the entire system including the external amplifiers and speaker units.  But just the radio head unit would not be compatible electronically even if the connectors were adjusted.

However, I want you to get another opinion on it from Ernesto on allexperts.com since he has hands-on experience with these units.

Best wishes.
