My Town & Country Limited (2005) van has the factory installed 6 cd/dvd changer. It has worked great. However, last week I turned off the engine and opened the van door while the CD changer was in the middle of switching to the next CD. Now the CD changer won't play the CDs AND it won't eject them either. The lights blink constantly, first 1-3 light up, then 4-6 light up, then they blink back and forth. "Disc Error" shows up on the display. My husband has taken the changer out and was able to get one CD out by taking the top cover off of the unit, but when he puts it back together and reinstalls it, it still just flashes the lights and won't play or eject. The radio will play without any problem. I would appreciate your advice on how to fix it. Believe me, I already know NEVER cut power to a CD changer while it is in the middle of changing CDs.

yes losing power   in the midle  of changing disc is a big problem
the unit needs to be taking apart by a repair service people
there is nothing you can do to fix this problem  just by removing the discs somethings it makes more damage
