Question
I have a JVC RX D301 connected to my Panasonic Viera TV.  The sound frequently drops out through all speakers and at the same time the Linear PCM light goes on and off on the JVC.  Could you please help me to fix the problem?  Thank you very much.

Answer
What you are probably experiencing is the loss of signal strength coming from either the tv or the cable or antenna that is the source of your signal.

If antenna, try to get a better or more strong signal.  The signal strength is viewable onscreen if you press the info button on the remote.  Watching it when the audio drops out will give you the clue.

If you are on cable the same thing may apply but in this case it will be something that causes the cable signal level to drop too low.

Let me know if there is more to the story.
