Question
the tv always seem not to be bright enough

Answer
It's an LCD rear projection.  Could need a new lamp?

Was it always dim from the when it was new?  If so, there is nothing you can do about it but turn down the lights in the house and close the windows, etc. to darken the room.

If it has been growing dim with time and use it may need a new projection lamp. They cost about $125 and must be the correct unit from Sony. Don't buy one of the discount lamps off line as they may damage your unit.
