Question
I've got a 02 sport trac with the factory pioneer single
disc stereo w/amplifier and sub. I'm trying to replace the
head unit and having trouble finding a wiring harness.
According to the schematic from ford the front door speakers
are off of the amplifier as well. Is it possible to replace
the head unit and still utilize the factory amp and sub?

Answer
yes is possible but there are no plugs for the sub
buy a wiring harness for any frod 98 to 2002  comes with 1 or 2 plugs  that will be power and speakers, the 3rd small plug ,
is not in there
you have to cut it and find the remote signal and 1 input to power the woofer

good luck

i did this on a 2004 lincoln and it works
