Audio Systems/Horrible radio reception

Question
I have a 2004 Dodge Durango with the Infinity sound system.  FM radio reception is acceptable for fairly close stations, but AM is horrible unless the radio station is in the same town I am in.  Lots of static and some feedback.  Is the radio itself dying on me or do i just have a bad antena wire that maybe is gounded out on something.....something.  Trying to find a way to not spend hundreds of dollars replacing a specialized radio.

Answer
It is just a bad dodge radio , the fail  with the am tuner
find a service cneter in your town it needs a new tuner board
or you can get a rebuild radio from here
