Question
Hello... I'm sure you can help with my
situation. I have a 06 BMW 325i. I recently just bought 2 10" sub box with a Infinity Reference series
4 channel amp. ...... I thought I plugged everything up right but the amp won't turn on at all. The amp has been sittin in the garage for about a year.(hope it isn't dead). I've been reading up and I'm thinking either my ground isn't on a good contact or my power wire isn't big enough? Also.,, the remote wire.. I'm
using a factory radio.. So does the remote wire need to be hooked up still?
I don't know. I'm def not a expert on this stuff.
I'm
sure it's something easy. All the fuses look good as well.
Thank you so much for helping.

Answer
Yes, you must have a remote connection to turn ON the amplifier.
And, yes, you must have a good solid ground connection.  Best to sand down to bare metal where the ground wire/terminal connects and a tight fit for solid connection.
And, yes, it is not good for electronic equipment to sit around.  Should be fired up from time to time to keep the internal parts from drying out (electrically speaking).  There are certain parts which need to be electrically charged once in a while to keep the chemical structure from going bad (examples are capacitors with electric field chemicals inside them).

Hope this helps.
