Question
Is this possible? Dealership says no. Being told there's no way to do something just get's me more interested. Apparently reprogramming the radio for a new VIN  is needed but the prizm doesn't have a module with a VIN in it. Can I get the module with the VIN from the salvaged equinox and wire it in with the radio? I believe there's just one wire communicating. I'd appreciate any help. Thanks

Answer
the only way this will work  is if the radio is new and never in any vehicle,
once the radio is in the vehicle, it records the vehicles vin number  and gets married to the vehicle

the comunication is from the radio to the body control module yes it is one wire the pin or orange  but it is data that can not be copy or trick in no way
