Question
Did you ever fix the volume button on this head unit?  I am having the same problem you did with the volume up button?

The manual for this unit can be found at:

where it says the following:

"Adjusting main volume
Press the VOLUME switch.
Pressing + will increase volume.
Pressing - will decrease volume.
• Each press of the switch will change
the volume by two steps. When the
volume reaches 50 or higher, the
switch will change the volume by one
step. Holding the switch will continue
to change the volume."

If it is not working as described then there are two possibilities:
ONE:  Mechanical; the switch is defective or dirty or jammed.
TWO:  The electronic volume controller is defective and needs service.  Replacement of the controller IC or repair of some circuit associated with it would be necessary.

Sometimes a reset will help solve the problem. See the manual on how to do the resets.
