Did you ever get the volume + working on your eclipse unit??? im having the same problems.. does it work with a remote when the head unit isnt working???

Answer
We have not heard back from this questioner.  Mostly we give answers and they do not reply with a followup unless there are more questions they have about our suggestions.  Sorry.

(But our thought is that the dvd player gets its command signals through the head unit and if it is not working the player will not. UNLESS, however, if the player has its own IR eye and receiver in it then its remote should operate it. If you have some further questions, please replay through allexperts.com webpage.)
