Audio Systems/VW Jetta Speaker replacement

Question
Hi I bought this new audio system for my 1999 VW Jetta and i've already replaced the radio. But I'm having problems replacing the stock speakers with the new ones. I removed the door panel and removed the stock speakers but they don't have a positive/negative cable like most cars do. They have an all-in-one type cable that connects directly into the stock speaker. Now Id like to cut the wire and find out which are the positive/negative but my question is do I have to worry about cutting any other cables?

Answer
Please refer to this document:

http://www.installdr.com/InstallDocs/VW/PDF/890001.pdf

which contains the wiring information for the speakers and other connections.

Refer to page 6 of this 8 page instruction for the 1999 Jetta.

Hope it helps.
