Question
I have a 2000 sunfire 2.2 and i took out the radio and installed an aftermarket radio and it will not shut off. I cut the harness off of the old radio and twisted the wires together on the new radio but i have a few wires left over from the car radio but don't know what they are for. Any help i would appreciate.. Thanks

Answer
ONE: You must determine the wiring coming out of the new aftermarket radio unit.  It will be included in the installation manual.

TWO:  You must match the wiring.  Power, speakers, etc.  Here is a guide to the wiring for your car:

(The above is not always correct, but most of the time they are close enough)

Try, also, www.installdr.com which may have your model that you can compare.

Hope this helps you wire it up.
