Audio Systems/New radio in old car

Question
I have a 1993 Cadillac Seville. I just bought a 320w Boss radio and I'm trying to replace it with the stock radio. The new radio came with the right connectors, I just need to splice them together with the old. Except I can't match up the wires correctly. The colors don't match up. What should I do?

Answer
It is always easiest to use a wiring harnass, but you can also splice as you have suggested.

Here is where you can buy wiring harnesses (as well as Walmart and BestBuy who might have for your car):

Here, also, is a good page to get wiring information:

http://www.modifiedlife.com/1993-cadillac-seville-car-stereo-wiring-chart/

But check the modifiedlife source carefully as they don't always get it right.

Here is another one to compare:

http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/stereodetail/445.html

Now, you can match the output wiring from the Boss with the wiring of the car!

Good Luck and let us know if you need more.
