Question
I have a JVC KD-SX750 cd player.  I can put a cd in and eject it, only says "play" but donīt read the CD.

Answer
Is CD you are playing a good one?  Try several others.  Clean the surface of the discs only with warm soapy (use little bit of dish detergent soap) water and let air dry.

If you are certain the problem is not dirty or bad cds, then you can assume the following possibilities may be causing the problem.

-  Bad or weak laser diode inside the optical pickup.
-  Bad optical pickup assembly.
-  Optical pickup badly aligned causing it not to be able to read the disc information.
-  Bad digital reader or digital to analog converter.

In any event, the cost of repair is often greater than the cost of replacement.

Sorry, but I don't have any better news for you.  Hasta LaVista
